FAQs
Here is a summary of questions asked since the site was launched. They may help you navigate the site.

I’ve forgotten my username / password. What do I do?
Use ‘Contact Us’ to request your password from the site Administrator.

I’m unfamiliar with websites. How do I find my way around?
Basically, the red header bar on the Home Page provides access to the whole site. Moving your cursor along it will highlight (in olive green) each section in turn. Click on any highlight to enter that section. You will see that there are drop-downs in the Ridley ’67 and Coach Lane sections. These indicate sub-sections, as labelled.

What’s in the site for me?
Well, explore and see for yourself, but we hope you’ll also contribute to the site. Any photos you have can be scanned in and personal reminiscences are also welcome. Broadly speaking, the content is split between photos and written contributions, but each section should be self-explanatory. If you have further ‘content’ queries, use the ‘Contact Us’ facility.

I want to post a message, but I’m not sure what to do.
You can add your own comment to:
  • any of the articles by clicking on ‘Add Comments’ or ‘Comments (1)’ - the bracketed no. simply indicates the comments already posted - and
  • the photos by clicking on the speech bubble icon.

If you wish to use the ‘Message Board’, you can respond to an existing message or post something completely new by clicking on a Forum Topic (see Forum List) and then clicking on ‘+ Post a New Message’ - top right of page, immediately above the words ‘Last Activity’. You simply need to decide which Forum category would be the best for what you want to say.

Can I have a shortcut to the site on my desktop?
Yes. You can open the Home Page as soon as you hit the Internet Explorer button or create a link straight from your desktop.
To create the desktop link:
  • Go to the website Home Page, click on File, Send Shortcut to Desktop.
  • This done, a lovely ‘RH’ icon on an olive background will appear on your desktop and one click on that will get you into the site.

Opening directly from Internet Explorer, so I am told, involves:
  • Going to Tools on the Home Page
  • Internet Options, click on Use Current (under Home Page sub-heading) then click on O.K.

I want to upload photographs. How do I do it?
If you scroll down any of the photo pages, you will find an ‘Upload File’ section below the last row of photos. Use this to browse the images on your computer and upload to the relevant part of the site.

Alternatively, ‘Contact Us’. The Administrator team will be pleased to hear from you and offer a guide through the process.

Is there only one photo at a time for each reunion?
No. When you click on ‘Reunions’, you need to click again on one of the ten sections to reveal more photos for each category. By clicking on any photo, you will enlarge the image and you can create a slide show by clicking on the arrow beneath the enlargement.

What is ‘Read More’?
‘Read More’ means the article continues on another page. Clicking on ‘Read More’ takes you to the complete article. We have used this device so that we can include as many headings and opening paragraphs as possible on the first page of the section.

Will the Administrator get fed up with me contacting him?
No. The Administrator will always be happy to oblige. Enjoy browsing the site.
